Custom Acrylic Molding Solution

Zhongren specializes in custom PMMA injection molding solutions for applications that demand high optical clarity, rigidity, and UV resistance. Our experience in acrylic plastic molding allows us to produce precision injection molded acrylic parts with excellent dimensional stability and aesthetic quality. Acrylic injection molding delivers lasting clarity and structural stability in demanding applications where standard plastics lose transparency or degrade.

How Are Acrylic Parts Manufactured?

We offer full-service injection molding of PMMA, leveraging state-of-the-art equipment and tooling to meet your design and performance goals.

  • PMMA Injection Molding
  • PMMA Overmolding
  • PMMA CNC Machining
  • PMMA Vacuum Forming
  • Insert Molding with Acrylic

Proper mold design and process control are essential to avoid flow marks, shrinkage, and internal stress in injection molded acrylic parts.

Common Applications of PMMA Molding

Thanks to its optical clarity, rigidity, and weather resistance, acrylic molding is ideal for:

  • Light guides, lenses, and LED diffusers
  • Transparent panels and enclosures
  • Display components and signage
  • Medical housings and diagnostic covers
  • Consumer electronics and cosmetic packaging
  • Automotive light bezels

Our Valued-Added Services

Advantages of Acrylic Injection Molding

  • Crystal-clear transparency with high light transmittance
  • Excellent dimensional stability and UV resistance
  • Lightweight and safer alternative to glass
  • FDA and RoHS-compliant grades available
  • Good scratch resistance and surface hardness

Disadvantages of Acrylic Molding

  • Brittle compared to polycarbonate
  • Low impact strength (not suitable for high-stress parts)
  • Sensitive to stress cracking if not processed correctly
  • Not suitable for high-temperature environments (>100°C)

FAQ of PMMA Injection Molding

Can PMMA parts be overmolded?
Yes, PMMA overmolding is possible, though compatibility with secondary materials and bonding strength must be carefully evaluated.
We offer certified acrylic molding materials suitable for food contact, diagnostics, and cleanroom applications.

PMMA offers superior optical clarity and scratch resistance but is more brittle than PC. For high-impact or high-heat applications, PC is preferred; for clear and UV-stable parts, PMMA is ideal.

Tooling lead time is typically 2–4 weeks. Production depends on part complexity and volume but can start as soon as tooling is validated.
